Be an Art Hunter!

High quality artists aren't just expensive, but elusive! I could really use the help of a few volunteers with just a little spare time to hunt down the artists on my wish list! No skills required besides maybe knowing how to use Google and a few popular art sites. Here's how it would go:

1. Research the Artists

When you contact me, I give you a short list of artists I'm interested in. You research them starting with the links I give you, then come back to me and fill out a form with the information I need:

  • How do they run their commissions? Are they on a regular schedule? Do they announce openings in advance? Do they only take commissions in streams, or only do wing-its? Details like that might be easy to miss but make it much more difficult to commission them.
  • How much do they cost? Links to their most recent information will be very helpful.
  • What is the best way to contact them? Some artists can be very cryptic about many of their commission details, including how to get a hold of them in the first place.
There will be some more detail on the form, but these are the big things I'm looking for.

2. Keep Watch on the Artists

Many artists tend to open during specific, often unpredictable windows. This is where I really need your help!

I would ask you to regularly check your list of artists (we might change the list some after Step 1) wherever they post announcements. Once a day should be good, but if you're a code genie and can set up something with RSS feeds or the like, all the better.

Just keep an eye on those artists, do a quick check on their various pages on a regular basis!

3. Alert Me!

Anytime an artist announces they're opening for commissions, send me a link right away! For some artists, I might even ask you to try and "reserve a spot" for me if the window is too short.

And that's it! My wish list for artists is frankly huge, and there's no way I can keep up with all of them. But if I can get some help from a few dedicated fans like you, I think we can load MVOL up with some absolutely beautiful art. If you want to be an Art Hunter, shoot me an email! I'd deeply appreciate having your help!

  1. Hi, a fan of yours. and all i wanted to say is, This is honestly a really good game, such potential with such passion. and i bet there will be some people who gets depressed off of this game, and i'm one of those people. for such a Lovely, beautiful, innocent, and kind creature trapped in the void, alone... for all eternity. but lucky to have someone else with that creature, to understand the feelings and past. and showing how much of a real person this creature is. it just makes you sad... I'm for real honestly really angry at this game and my own Main Character, for this game to not have this option, and for my own Main Character to even say "I Love You". and that's a really sad thing...

    1. I always welcome feedback, and MVOL tends to invite a strong emotional response. I appreciate Anon taking the time to express their thoughts, though it's true this is an odd place to post it. Emailing me or posting on the forum would probably be better.

That said, second anon, while I appreciate your wanting to stay on topic, I don't think the language and hostility was necessary. I don't want to see anyone attacking each other over my game in any capacity.

    2. Sorry Lithier, i didn't really mean to make this an odd place to post my response. i tried to post it on E621.net. but unfortunately, they want me to be at least a week old just to post a response. tried to find another way, but couldn't. so this is the only place that i can do it. (And also didn't want to send an Email, just to waste your time with only 1 response...)

And Anon, I do have a life. I was just bored, and wanting to play some random games on my PC. and only wanting to Share some honest feedback about this game. so i don't need any of your assumptions.
