    1. I haven't tested it myself, but it's just a flash-based game-- to my knowledge, it should be playable on virtually any platform that can handle moderate amounts of internet browsing. I've even had a player reportedly play it on a rather rudimentary e-reader. So I expect it will work on a Mac, yes.

    1. There are three "Petre's Guide"s published in the Blog Archive in June and July, people have found them pretty helpful for finding most of the hidden stuff in the game! They still more or less apply with the new version, too.

    2. hello. i'm new and i just want to know if there is a way to get M.V.O.L on my desktop, and the save link did not work, because i have it on my phone but i would prefer not to lose my sight because of how small the words are, oh and yea text size (19) in the option sill hurts my eyes still love it but yea thanks. I have never read such a amazing story because you gave us all the the option to read a more custom tailored game. that appealed to own individual tastes.

    3. If you download the regular .swf at http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/87304733/MVOL015.swf (for v0.15) then open that on your computer, it should work fine. Accessing it by your computer you should be able to right click>save link as... or something like that. On your phone, you should be able to download it, then copy the .swf file over to your computer. I'm not sure what you mean about the save link not working. I just checked it, and it seems to be working okay. Hope this helps!

  8. So honestly, I just want to ask. Love the game and all and such but I just have a question about the continuity.
    So i hit this: You touch the feline's arm and smile softly. You ask her, would she like to talk about her past? Lith draws a deep breath, holds it, and folds her arms over her head, leaning back in a big stretch. A soft little grunt ratchets up in her throat, her eyes shut tight. Finally, she collapses, her breath pouring out of her and forming loosely into words. "No... I think that's enough for now." Her eyes flick up to meet yours, and she smiles softly. "I really appreciate your sitting through all my pathetic rambling, but at this point... Everything left to say isn't worth saying. And I'm not sure it worked-- I think things are still slipping away, and from how these talks have gone... I'm not sure I care anymore." Her eyes flick out, into the void. "Maybe it'd be better to be nobody." That pale white reflecting in her eyes doesn't suit her, you think. But for now, you'll stay silent.

    And i am just wondering if it is like a sort of brick wall or if more can be done?

    1. That's currently as far as is written for Lith taking about his past, yes. I'm thinking about adding more later, as something that unlocks after other post-collar content, but for now, that's it ^.^;

      If you'd like to know more about Lith, though, I also have a few series of stories on my FA and SF centering around him, one of which is all about one of the periods he describes in his past. You might find them worth looking over if you still want more :3 Thanks for your interest, and thanks for playing!

      Delete
    2. Ah. Well thank you for replying. I do indeed find Lith an interesting character. Despite the constant sex-based mental numbness that seem to make up his past. It goes into a, how you say, just literary circle when i reread the things he/she mentions about his past in-game. But You are welcome, the game is very enjoyable. And thank you again for replying.

  9. Oh, Lithier. The way you write is what brings me back to play this. I love the new additons that come with the update. Keep up the good work!

  10. Just got a new phone, decided to see if there was an update. I may be a bit late to the party but I just wanted to say, Lithier, that your stories and writing are some of the best I've read and for written erotica I have never found anything that evokes as much sensation as yours.
    I may not be an expert in text-based naughty bits, but I am an English major: I know good writing when I see it! Keep up the great work.

  11. Lithier I just wanted to congratulate you on making such an amazing little game. I also have a question however... Why did you have to make one of the most upsetting endings I have ever come across in a game? The one where you wait a ton of times then approach Lith and then he/she (depending on the players choice) leaves you alone. I was on the verge of tears when I read through the text.

    1. Hey, glad to hear you enjoyed! But... You mean to say that you not only left Lith alone, but for a really long time? Well, no wonder he got sad ;_; I wouldn't blame him for leaving you alone right back! Nobody wants to be forced to hang on the whims of another for a little companionship...

      But honestly, I knew MVOL needed some kind of "lose condition," and nothing seemed more fitting than using it for when Lith is uncontrollably sad. And yes, leaving him alone in a vast void to just sit in utter silence for long, looooong stretches of time, is an easy way to do that :p

    1. I believe that versions 0.16, 0.17, and 0.18 are currently up on there, but not left-aligned 0.18, if that's what you were looking for. I updated 0.18 to have a link here so people can find that ^.^;

  13. Cool. Surprised you didn't use ScummVM or a Z-machine interpreter or the like, though. They did most of the work setting up the basic game including script editors! It also would have been able to run on nearly anything, including the NES (someone recently did a port of Zork's engine to it). :) Sad to read that you encrypted newer versions but I guess them's the breaks. If anyone here is wanting to see how these games work, there's tons of libre/open-source examples for those kinds of virtual machines as an alternative to looking at this game's code. Scripting quests and such is kind of fun so curious cats should try it out - I have done some for Elder Scrolls/Fallout 3's engine (open), as well as The 4th Coming (proprietary). They make it mostly just flags and conditions in Bethesda's games, so you can concentrate on making the NPCs fun and interesting (just use something like continuous printer paper or a text word processor to keep track of events). You still see bugs, though, because it's like any other programming language. Also, T4C has extreme limitations. :(

    1. Presenting it in Flash has been a huge part of getting the game a decent audience, really ^.^; Sites like FA and e621 have gotten me a very sizable chunk of my players. There's a lot of problems with Flash, yes, but it's still one of the most universally supported platforms for a little game like mine, at least in terms of playing conveniently on any computer for any user of any tech level. If and when I get another game going, I do look forward to getting out of Flash, though xP

      Delete
    2. Well, granted, Flash has issues. I was just saying that I love the older languages/systems. ;) Yeah, Flash (and Java and Silverlight) may be going the way of Internet Explorer and Firefox, but it's still a strong audience. Have you tried KISS? It was cute but... not as powerful as Flash. http://kissclub.deviantart.com/journal/KiSS-Viewers-238220530 Not saying I'd use that but it's a funny little platform meant for creating dress-up dolls.

      Native programs are really great and much more customizable and efficient than Flash games, but are like a trap since it makes you compile multiple versions for every platform. Virtual machines like Flash/Java/z-machine/etc. are nice in that you write and debug the code once, and then run it on all the platforms that support the version of the language you used.

      Thanks - I'll be waiting! :)

      Delete
    3. Haha, I am familiar with KiSS purely because it was one of the old school avenues for porn games xP Now that's nostalgic. I never tried making anything in it, though. Definitely a more art-oriented medium. And yeah, I compile way too many versions of MVOL as it is without having to accommodate a bunch of different platform versions, too @_@;;

      ...And what's wrong with Firefox? xP

      ...Not that I actually use it directly, but Cyberfox is pretty nice...

    4. Firefox had a major reversal when they started being a me-too competitor to Chrome. It's just not as popular anymore. :(

      Hmm, some interesting systems: nscripter kirikiri ren'py livemaker

      I was thinking more along the lines of a sequel or if you want to try a different medium. :)

    1. That's strange! So it would go through loading and show the play button, but when you click, nothing happens? I just double checked it, it seems to be working alright for me on Windows. I'd say, first thing, try updating Flash: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

      Flash tends to be super fussy if you're not updated and make all sorts of strange little problems, so that's the main reason I can think of that it could screw up in such an odd spot. If that doesn't work, maybe try getting the standalone Flash Projector here: https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/21/flashplayer_21_sa.exe

      Let me know if that doesn't do the trick! Thanks for checking in!

    1. If you click the main link, it should take you to a Mega page. Click "Download through your browser" and then wait a few seconds, and it should give you a file to save. If you can't make that work, you can either open the mirror link to play online or right click it and select save as to save the file to your computer. Sorry for the confusion, looks like my explanation text was a little old!

    3. That can be a bit of a pain, but the best way I know of is to download the "projector" here: https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html

      Scroll down to your operating system and download the file behind the "Download the Flash Player projector" link, and that should work smoothly for you. It used to be you could just open it in a browser no problem, but that's becoming less supported lately! ^.^;

    1. I just tested the main download and the mirror, and they seem to work fine. It sounds like your copy of flash might be broken or need updating? Try googling Flash and downloading the latest version.

      If that doesn't work, you should always be able to run the game by downloading it and following the instructions here: http://mvolith.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html#projector Hope that helps!

    1. Sorry to hear you're having trouble! Just to make sure, you're playing one of the .apk files on an Android phone, right? Did you download from Mega or the mirror? Did you try the other one and get the same result?

      I just checked, and the Android version works okay on my phone. If none of the above helped, it might be that your phone needs an update. If it's a particularly old phone or running an old OS it might run into issues. Also, did you go ahead and install Adobe Air when it suggested it?

      Delete
    2. Yeah, I'm using my Android phone, I downoloaded the MEGA version (apk) and the .swf one, none of them worked...

      I don't know, I'm using android 6 on my phone... And, yes, i installed Adobe Air when the app suggested it

      Delete
    3. Hrmm. I just tried downloading from Mega as well and it ran fine. Try the mirror file? If you're downloading on your phone directly, maybe download from your computer and copy it over?

      It's weird that you get to that blue screen, that means it recognizes the file and installs, but the game won't fully load... My best guess at this point would be that your phone is severely underpowered or you happened to download a bad copy. Sorry I can't be more help, I'm more of a writer than a programmer ^.^;;

  25. Hey so Idk how to really use or work swf files but for some reason it's giving me a black screen when I try loading the game. Idk if it's the game itself or if I'm just missing something but I've tested other games and swf files and they work fine, would be great if you could help out:) xoxo

    1. 1. There's no difference, gameplay-wise, between the PC and Android versions of the game. Main difference is that the save backup system doesn't work on Android.
      2. Anatomically female Lith is always available, you just adjust things a step or two later once you've chosen female Lith.
